MAP monitoring is the automated tracking of the prices resellers advertise for your products, compared against the minimum advertised price set in your policy, so prices below that level are identified and recorded rather than noticed by chance. Price Trakker monitors your products across reseller websites and marketplaces, compares each advertised price against your policy price, and records each identified breach with the source page, the captured price and the time of capture. A MAP violation record contains the listing URL, the advertised price captured, the policy price it was compared against, the channel and seller where publicly shown, and the capture time, retained as history. MAP violation alerts can be raised when a captured price is recorded below your policy price, with the source detail attached; alert rules are configured per project. MAP, MSRP and RRP are related but distinct: MAP is the minimum price a reseller may advertise, MSRP is the price a brand recommends, and RRP is the UK and European equivalent of MSRP.
